Global Mobile 1 Review

If you're looking into a cell phone opportunity and you're considering Global Mobile 1, I welcome you to this Global Mobile 1 review -- because you'll have a hard time finding anyone who has done as much due diligence on this topic as I have.

Excited by the idea of moving into mobile VoIP technology and helping people to save a ton of money on something that everyone already uses, I started exploring cell phone network marketing companies in December 2008. I have been on conference calls and ready to promote several companies and have carefully analyzed the competition that I never got into. And I can give you the low down right here.

I won't name any companies outside Global Verge, but I'll refer to why I think Global Verge offers the best program at the moment.

First, as you may know, in any industry there will always emerge 2-3 major players. This is already the case in network marketing mobile VoIP companies. Two have been around a while in other industries and do have stability as companies, though I'll explain why I've decided against joining forces with them.

There are several other, smaller players that will probably appeal to certain groups, but I don't believe they will ever play a major role because of how their businesses are run. I hope they do well for themselves on whatever scale they hit.

There are also a couple long-term players in the telecom arena that I don't believe have adapted to the times, and I don't think they are going to emerge on top. So for this review, I'll focus on the three that I've seriously explored over the summer and fall of 2009.

One was the earliest to market, and I believe this would give them a big advantage. I heard of some major advantages they were going to offer. I was intrigued. But since their launch, I haven't seen anything that impressed me. For a long-term, financially stable company, I was aghast at the poor website and lack of information. And it turned out that the magic of their VoIP only works on WiFi, and not on data available anywhere outside of WiFi range. So you're still largely using cellular minutes, which defeats much of the purpose of going to mobile VoIP.

So I continued watching two more companies, one of which was Global Verge. The other was offering a lot of things I was looking for, but when they finally went live with something, again, it was incredibly disappointing -- they didn't have a range of plans; they only offered GSM data coverage; they added fees to their plans; and incredibly, they instituted a one-year contract!

I expect both of the above companies to upgrade what they have available. I believe they'll be legitimate long-term competition, and I wish all their reps well. But they weren't what I was looking for.

Here's what I like about Global Verge:
First, most team members will join for $69.95, opting for the $39.95 monthly membership fee. This is a FAR LOWER start-up cost and monthly fee than the other two. Yes, as you advance in Global Verge, you'll probably want to upgrade to the $99.95/month membership, but you do so when it makes financial sense -- when you'll earn more than that extra $60 in costs. (And in doing so, you get upgraded membership benefits.)

I like the fact that they offer data coverage on both CDMA and GSM. So you can buy either type of phone from them and make calls on whichever system you prefer. Or you can even bring your own, unlocked SIM phone -- like an iPhone, Google phone, etc., and simply buy a Global Mobile 1 SIM card. Phones start as low as $29.99.

I like the fact that there are no hidden taxes or fees -- that all costs are included in the price shown. I like transparency.

I like that there are no contracts.

I like that their compensation plan is easier to understand than the others, though still fairly complex. And by the way ... everyone wants to brag about their compensation plans. My humble opinion -- and some will argue this -- but my humble opinion is that if you're getting paid well, then enough. You can input a million different scenarios and see at what point who is paying you best. But the bottom line is that you need to be in with the company that will help you sell the most phones. If they pay you well, then that's where you'll make the most money if the company's legitimate. Global Verge pays out a lot of money.

I like that direct sales to CUSTOMERS can yield a lot of money. Even though team building is always the trick to massive income, because that's what generates leverage, I like that you can do very well direct sales. Get as few as 3 direct customers and you can cover the cost of your monthly membership and start profiting (depending on what plan they choose).

Global Verge hasn't been around as long as the other companies, but I believe they proved themselves as a company that's here to stay when they went through some very hard times in the summer of 2009. They grew to a huge size and had their accounts locked up as a result. They had their technology partner back out and had to start from scratch with someone else. And when people thought they were going to disappear with everyone's money, they didn't. There have been bumps -- big bumps -- but this happens in business. But I like that I've seen character in the people who have stuck with this business. I believe that will pay off for them in the end.

As for telecom, all of these companies are brand new. And frankly, Global Verge is the hottest of the three websites in terms of global internet traffic, as verified by Alexa.com. So for me, I believe that Global Verge has the product, the integrity, and something of the magic here -- the thing that's drawing people, and that I think will make for substantial success.
